Neo is looking for its first Head of Finance and Operations, who will report to the CEO and oversee the finance function in collaboration with Neo’s long-term finance and fund administration service. With a current team of 12 (including 4 investors), and an expanding global investor base, we’re excited to add a Head of Finance and Operations to the team. 💪 Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage finance & operations (overseeing and in coordination with third-party administrator) and maintain a highly collaborative working relationship with partners and the broader team
- Oversee company budget and operational efficiency across Neo’s programs, including Neo Reunion, Accelerator, Spring in SF, and our mentor community
- Perform all accounting, regulatory, and tax tasks for the management company and affiliated events and services companies
- Support the quarterly and annual valuation process by coordinating with the investment team for investment valuations prepared in-house, including collection of portfolio company financial performance
- Prepare LP reporting, including quarterly valuations, letters, and LPAC materials
- Oversee cash flow planning for funds along with all capital calls, distributions, management fee payments, and related LP/GP allocations
- Manage forecasting and budgeting for management entity, including cash management, accounts payable, and banking relationships
- Work on tax planning and compliance for funds including working with outside tax providers
- Drive operations including compliance, insurance policies, cybersecurity, and spend management
- Interface with LPs and portfolio companies on all finance-related matters as needed
- Review and improve overall financial management (without bringing fund administration in house)
- Evaluate and select technology solutions to enable the finance team to scale and leverage information across firm
